Our Work
- In Fiscal Year 2005/2006 ANCAC members (Child Advocacy Centers) provided 9,188 services to abused children
- ANCAC members provided Forensic Interviews for 5,813 abused children
- There were 1,889 cases of severe physical or sexual child abuse referred to the District Attorney’s office for prosecution by ANCAC members
- ANCAC members referred 1,361 children for medical exams because of severe physical or sexual abuse
- There were 18,723 counseling sessions provided by ANCAC members
- Of all the children receiving services from an ANCAC member 64.60% were Caucasian, 31.87% were African American, 1.84% were Hispanic, 1.66% were other and .03% were Asian
- 29% of children receiving services were 0-6 years of age, 37% were 7-12 years of age, and 34% were 13-18 years of age
